Melissa Baylin

Melissa Baylin has ten years of experience in the recruitment industry and as a result, has been exposed to a wide variety of organizations, sectors and functional disciplines. Her generalist background has provided her with the skill set that allowed for quick adaptation to new challenges throughout her career proving herself as a valuable resource for both clients and candidates. Shortly after beginning her career, Melissa joined Futurestep/Korn Ferry International in senior-level and executive search with a focus on Administration and Corporate Services recruitment in the oil and gas industry. Her expertise expanded shortly thereafter into other industries including Mining, Manufacturing and Information Technology. Throughout all of the industries she has been exposed to, Melissa has been responsible for leading direct sourcing strategy in the areas of Engineering, Information Technology, Corporate Services, Communications, Health and Safety, and Financial Controls.
Melissa plays a key role in all areas of the recruitment life cycle. She attends equally to all intricacies including, but not limited to, needs analysis assessment, search strategy development, candidate assessment tools and administrative operations. Her strengths vary from supportive client management to building lasting candidate relationships. Exposure to contingency, retained and corporate recruitment processes has enabled Melissa to develop effective execution strategies by focusing meticulously on client’s needs.
Since 2011, Melissa has been an integral member of the Cadre management team responsible for all client reporting functions as well as assisting in the leadership of corporate operations. As an active volunteer in the community, she dedicates a significant amount of time to assisting those in need both in her personal and professional network. Educated at the University of Calgary, Melissa has a Bachelor of Kinesiology with a major in Business as well as an Executive Leadership Certificate from Cornell University (eCornell).
